About Bob Lentz

Robert C. Lentz graduated in 1962 from Indian Lake School District. He joined the Air Force in 1963 and served through 1967 during the Vietnam War. His values were shaped by a childhood rooted in faith, family and common sense, which has continued through his adult life. Bob is retired from Super Foods Services where he worked for 30 years.

Bob was first elected to Bellefontaine City Council in 1981 and served for sixteen years. Bob was the finance chairman for twelve years. Bob was then elected as Mayor in 1999 and served for eight years. Bob enjoyed his time serving, and especially liked the challenge of using government financial resources in the most effective manner while also addressing the issues and challenges facing govenment financial managers.

Integrity is a common theme in Bob's life. This word does not only apply to his work but also to his family life. He has been a fiathful husband for 38 years to his wife Ranae. They have two sons, Bill and Kyle. Bob is very civic minded and has been the Americanism chairman for the Harold Kerr Post of the American Legion for the last 25 years and has served as a past commander. He has also been a Deacon for the First United Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine. Bob serves at the local "Dinner at the Prez" food pantry and also has helped with the Angel Food Ministry mission. He has served on the Logan County Children Services Board for 17 years and was President of the Board for four years.

Bob is inspired by a strong sense of duty to the Citizens of Bellefontaine to again seek election as Mayor of Bellefontaine. He is optimistic for the future of Bellefontaine and has the knowledge and expertise to guide the stabilization of the city finances.
